“The energy that 800 yogi’s will create in one space with mindful intentions on peace, love and health is so intense that you’re able reach pure, elevated bliss.” – Cheryl Hawley
UPLIFT yoga is all about bringing mindfulness to teens through the practice of yoga. This once a year bash is to fund the non-profit organziation, Keep Friendship Alive. By buying a ticket to this event you are not only loving your spirit, but feeding the souls of today’s youth.
UPLIFT yoga allows teenagers to be provided the tools they need to survive in today’s world without letting the stress of life consume their emotions, daily activities, relationships or health by training the mind to focus.
Last year, there were around 400 yogi packed (and I mean packed) into the Vibiana Cathedral in LA. This event was epic! Being fairly new (3 years) into the yoga community I was certain that my experience here could not be topped. Well, I was wrong! This years bash was out of control with not only double the positive energy, but double the activities and fun!
UPLIFT 2014 was held in the heart of art for Orange County at, Segerstrom Center of the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA. A truly breath taking venue for a night under the stars. Erica Austin, founder of Keep Friendship Alive, went above and beyond any of the communities expecations this year! Brought back for yet another round of leadership, practice and flow was yogi’s, Anthony Chavez & Lacey Calvert. Two beautiful spirits leading all of us at UPLIFT yoga bash through our practice.
I don’t believe it would be an understatement to say that we all tasted a piece of heaven on earth this very night.
I feel pictures would best describe the energy of this fun filled evening under the stars high on nothing but YOGA.
